Alpha Dog Training uses only positive reinforcement training techniques without food incentives, gimmicks, fear, force, dominance, pain, pinch or shock collars (see banshockcollars.ca).
We expect our dogs to live with us under our terms and conditions, so it is essential to properly train and socialize them to adapt to their human pack and urban surroundings. I believe in using only kind, positive reinforcement techniques using a praise/play reward system without food treats.
Positive reinforcement dog training works by using praise with positive actions as rewards. Rewarding good behavior makes that behavior more likely to occur in the future.
